Music
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
“Fifteen (ft. Chela)” by Goldroom // Fifteen (2012)
When I think of “summer music”, this is the kind of music that comes to mind. Shimmering electro tracks with a sort of nostalgic melancholy permeating throughout. Even back in the day, it was the non-electro nostalgic melancholic tracks that stuck in my head (think “Boys of Summer”). Here, Goldroom and Chela have a beautiful widescreen romantic charm that fills every second of the twinkling synths and muted electronic beats. It’s already been out there for a while, but I wanted to post it for those who may have missed it. Highest recommendation for fans of Tycho, College, and Teen Daze.
Dinosaur Jr. - Start Choppin’
I like that new M.I.A. with the gunshots though.
LeVert - Casanova
Hall & Oates - She’s Gone
Orange Juice - Blue Boy
I never heard any of these band’s music before so I’m going to try and determine what kind of band they are by their name/album art.

Hmmm, this band probably sounds like Tilly & The Wall or something in that same vien.

This band probably has songs that last upwards to seven plus minutes. Probably a lot of instrumentals.

This band probably plays upbeat pop rock music, kind of like Hot Hot Heat maybe. I bet these are Canadians.

This band probably plays like, moody goth music or whatever. Kind of like Crystal Castle maybe. (Never really heard a Crystal Castle song before)

This band is probably a noise pop band. Like My Bloody Valentine maybe. Or maybe a barbershop quartet judging by the name.
